What is Skate?

Skate is an application layer that connects multiple virtual machines (for example, EVM, SolanaVM and TonVM) so users can interact from their home chain while applications share a single global state. A hub chain (the Kernel) holds state and core logic, while Periphery contracts on connected chains perform local actions. Execution is carried out by a registered network of executors and attested by an Actively Validated Service (AVS) built on EigenLayer. Users submit intents on their preferred chain; executors fulfil them across chains, and the AVS verifies the results before they take effect. The stack enables “stateless” apps such as an AMM that aims to maintain one price and shared liquidity across chains.

What is Skate (SKATE) token used for?

SKATE is the native token of the Skate network. Its stated roles include:

  • Governance over protocol parameters and roadmap
  • Economic incentives tied to execution and network participation (for example, rewarding reliable executors and enforcing penalties)
  • Programmes that support ecosystem growth and application adoption

Who created Skate (SKATE)?

The token and project were co-founded by Siddharth Lalwani (Co-founder & CEO) and Tony Sun (Co-founder & COO). Both previously founded Range Protocol, from which Skate evolved.
