SPLD Token
Splendor (SPLD) is the native token of the Splendor blockchain, a high-performance, EVM-compatible blockchain designed to support intelligent automation, AI-native applications, and agent-based communication. SPLD is used as the base currency for the Splendor network, supporting on-chain operations, staking, validator incentives, and governance.
The Splendor blockchain is built for high-throughput environments, with a focus on enabling fast, fee-less, and scalable transactions between autonomous agents. It leverages GPU acceleration and quantum-resistant cryptography to provide a computational and secure environment optimised for AI workloads and autonomous system interactions.
SPLD powers a hybrid blockchain infrastructure that integrates an AI-enhanced consensus mechanism, named Congress, which incorporates Byzantine fault tolerance and supports up to 10,000 validators. The network uses 1-second blocks (configurable to 0.5s) and supports a sustained throughput of over 800,000 transactions per second, with peak testing exceeding 2 million TPS.
SPLD has several core utilities within the Splendor blockchain ecosystem:
Splendor (SPLD) was founded by Todor Ivanov, who also serves as the project’s Chief Executive Officer. He leads Splendor Labs, the company responsible for developing the Splendor blockchain and its surrounding infrastructure. Ivanov’s work focuses on the intersection of artificial intelligence and decentralised systems, with particular emphasis on enabling high-performance, agent-based networks.
Under his direction, Splendor has positioned itself as a blockchain purpose-built for AI applications, featuring agent-to-agent micropayments, GPU acceleration, and quantum-resistant cryptography. Ivanov is actively involved in the project’s strategy, having led the launch of core components such as Splendor Search and its developer APIs. He has publicly communicated performance goals, including throughput milestones and infrastructure design for the AI-native internet.
